Chi is “just a girl who enjoys shooting film photography.” Some time ago she saw images taken with a little black camera, Lomo LC-A. Those images, their colour, their depth and their style have completely changed how Chi thought about photography.
Written at the Close of Spring
January 15, 2019The garlands fade that Spring so lately wove,Each simple flower, which she had nursed in dew,Anemonies, that spangled every grove,The primrose wan, and hare-bell mildly blue. No more shall violets linger in the dell,Or purple orchis variegate the plain,Till Spring again shall call forth every bell,And dress with humid hands her wreathes again.— Dmitri, with images by Chi.
October 31, 2017Wherever there are plants, there are flowers. Their colour, texture and smell attract bees, butterflies and hummingbirds. We are drawn to them too. Some pills are made of flowers to help us when we’re ill. Though often it’s enough to just have a good look at their delicate form and colour to feel better already.— Dmitri, with images by Chi.
