Why Analog.Cafe?

Analog.Cafe is the internet’s best independent source of guides, reviews, experiments, and apps for film photographers since 2017.

As a GOLD member, you get access to exclusive tutorials (like “Master the Sunny 16 Rule!”), photography experiments (like “Pushing Ilford HP5+ to ISO 100,000”), and advanced apps like film Q that let you invert film negatives (including large TIFFs and RAWs) right here on Analog.Cafe.

About Free Film.

A welcome message from the founder. 👋

Hi!

Dmitri here.

I’m the founder, tech support, and author at Analog.Cafe.

I’ve been building this website since before 2017 (an earlier version of it launched in 2012, while my web tinkering journey began in 1999).

The website you see here took countless hours of writing, editing, photographing, mixing, scanning, programming, designing, and coordinating with hundreds of authors, distributors, and customers.

I dedicate this effort to the photography community and ask nothing in return. There are no ads, which makes Analog.Cafe safe and easy to browse. You may’ve noticed that there are no cookie pop-ups here, either.

A GOLD subscription is a simple proposal: a premium service with exclusive features built on a free, ad-free, privacy-friendly publishing platform created by humans for humans. It makes Analog.Cafe possible and funds unique projects, like the world’s first attempt at “greenscaling” Aerochrome and building a working instant film camera out of gingerbread, which wouldn’t be possible otherwise.

I hope you’ll choose to support Analog.Cafe in a way that works for you.
Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for reading!

Dmitri.
