  • This really got my interest, as I acquired some 4x5 Ektachrome 100G from 2002 as part of a lot of expired film and am not going to invest in an E6 kit. So I found a couple of youtubes on the process, but all I have for the first developer is D76. I shot a sheet of the film at EI 64. Developed in D76 stock 10min at 37C. Then I fogged with a daylight balanced LED video light, about 15s per side 5 inches from the light. Then a rather closer to its limit C41 kit, developed 4.5 min and blix for 12 min. Results are pretty good, I’d say. A bit dark and bluish cast, but no worse than I’ve seen with expired Ektachrome in an E6 process. Scanned and corrected result: flic.kr/p/2rZsqvG

  • Thanks so much for sharing this, Howard! This certainly gives me hope, as I’ve seen other recipes that doubled the blix time with good results on Ektachrome. I will try that with my next roll. 🙏
